Licensing
Businesses that play music to their customers need to have a license to publicly perform the musical works. The License can be obtained from the local collective management organization (CMO) which allows you to legally play and perform music in your business through MusMus, millions of songs and recordings, including the most popular and well-loved music pieces not just from Georgia but also from around the world.
MusMus, as a legal platform, includes the cost of this license in its service fee. We report the use to the local CMO so that they can distribute royalties to the right holders.
Not having a public performance license is classified as copyright infringement and may result in penalties. Similarly, sourcing music from a place or provider that does not have the license to provide a music service is also classified as a copyright infringement and can also result in fines.
